Experience the new 2016.3 release in production! As a beta participant, you will receive the new enhancements to Adaptive Planning, Consolidation, Discovery, Integration and OfficeConnect ahead of schedule. For the upcoming release, this means you can access all the new features on July 23, about 5 weeks earlier than most customers.

The goal of the Beta program is to provide Adaptive Insights customers and partners a sandbox environment for testing and feedback purposes on functionality.

The goals of the Early Adopter program include customer/partner feedback as well as working within a production environment with the goal of going live with their implementation.

In the 2016.3 release, we have redesigned the model and system administration pages with a cleaner, Java applet-free look. Click here to see the list of pages updated in this release


In the first release of Excel Planning Interface, you will be able to open your Planning sheets in Excel, update your plan, and then push the data back to Adaptive Planning! Users can leverage Excel functionality such as charting and local models in conjunction with Adaptive Planning sheet data.


Users of modeled sheets will be able to sort multiple columns of data. Columns can be sorted in ascending or descending order. In addition, end users will be able to enable data filters on visible columns on a modeled sheet.


The visualization in sheets panel in standard sheets supports a new chart type called “waterfall chart”. Also, easily navigate time periods with a date slider and click on a legend or chart to highlight/show/hide some elements in the chart.



Adaptive Discovery users can visualize metrics associated with geographic dimensions as a geo heat map.


Adaptive Discovery users have better control over numeric display appearance. End users can turn on or turn off the micro chart, customize how variance is displayed and choose color and font size and font family for the metric.


Adaptive Discovery users can create and customize a waterfall chart for variance analysis – The variance can be configured for same period but different versions broken down by sub-dimension or sub-accounts. It can also be configured to be between different time periods.



OfficeConnect Excel-based reports enables more selections for filtering a report. Users can filter a sheet by account, version, currency, attribute and custom dimension in the same manner as with levels today. This allows users to change the report faster as they update the version with a single check mark rather than having to apply and replace on all regions.
